Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your care. Under federal law, healthcare providers must offer this estimate to clients who don’t have insurance or choose not to use it. This includes the total anticipated cost of non-emergency services like psychotherapy.

You can request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling. If you receive a bill that’s $400 or more above the estimate, you have the right to dispute it. For more information, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
